ratatouille
“… shortage of food or surplus of snobbery?” — Ratatouille

(Like me), Remy the rat don’t just like food, he loves food. This one ought to be mandatory for all food-nazi. I have already had my second serving.

When Asked

what are you afraid of regarding the future

people who are thinking only of making money,
they make a dangerous world.
or those who are only thinking about design.
you need conjunction between the two, its very rare but you
need someone who thinks about both, to get the right answer,
to make a better life in the future.

And therein lies the biggest equation of my life.

japcropcircle
Spotted in the town of Inakadate in Aomori, claimed to be the works of the local farmers there. I have seen them in the news a couple of weeks back and no they are not photoshop-ed.

They might just inspire the crop-circle brotherhood to be a little bit more creative in their next Roswell-exhibition. See more here.

Oh hohoho…

CarveCravings

Talking about carving out your cravings, in all its senses!

A couple down at Craftster.org has taken it upon themselves to cut down the portions of those happy meals, literally!, into a tray-size of a Splenda (our equivalent of an Equal sachet).

Time taken to grill that patty: a FEW seconds (ikidyounot!)
Oh ‘Mini-Oreos’ is so yesterday.

darjeelingMomos

*momos are dumplings stuffed with peppered mince chicken and finely chopped coriander leaves. There’s more to it than just the ingredients!

Pass the salt please.

The vases equivalent for art living, where you store your salt&pepper is probably the next best indicator of self-sophistication. Now have your food pepper-ed in style!
I’ve spotted these racial-harmony-figurines for a dollar per pair in Bangkok but my vote goes to The Taste of Talking by designer Henk Stallinga. The shakers are moulded after the ear-and-mouth pieces of a ‘vintage’ phone. I want them! Brilliant isn’t it.
